The voids create continuous channels that rapidly drain rainwater—funneled from the grooves—thereby minimizing surface pooling and moisture retention; airflow through these channels also helps reduce the risk of warping caused by heat and humidity. The wide groove pattern provides enhanced traction in wet conditions and helps mask minor scuffs from daily use. While the hollow design reduces the board's weight, it preserves structural load-bearing walls; combined with the reinforcing effect of the wide grooves, this ensures superior flexural strength and load-bearing stability.
