WPC Fence Board 140 x 20 mm (2.1 kg/m) is a board designed to stand upright. A fence works the opposite way to a deck: the board is hung vertically, it carries no foot traffic, and weight becomes a liability rather than an asset. It bears down on posts and rails, it loads the footings, and over the years its own weight is what makes a board sag and pull at its end fixings. So this board is made with a hollow, lightweight section - just 2.1 kg per meter, close to 40% lighter than the same size in solid WPC. Spread over the fence area that is roughly 15 kg of board per square metre against 24.5 kg for a solid board; on a 1.8 m garden run the saving in dead weight alone is substantial.  140 x 20 mm WPC fence board, 2.1 kg/m - a hollow section 40% lighter than solid board.
